Dual Motor

The Dual Motor Module is the driving core of BrewTech’s puck cleaning system. It is designed to deliver controlled, repeatable motion for both puck release and residue removal, enabling a defined cleaning workflow without impact or manual force.

The module features a dual-motor architecture, with one motor dedicated to the rotor and a second motor dedicated to the brush. This separation allows each function to operate independently and precisely, ensuring consistent performance at every step of the cleaning process.

Each motor is a high-performance unit operating at 400 rpm, optimized for efficient torque delivery and smooth rotation. The controlled speed supports effective puck breakup and gentle brushing while minimizing unnecessary mechanical stress. The system is designed for energy-efficient operation, balancing performance with low power consumption.

The motor assembly is housed in a stable, high-strength polymer enclosure, providing structural rigidity while keeping overall weight low. The black finish is chosen for durability and resistance to coffee residue. Internal motor mounting and power transmission are carefully engineered to reduce vibration, ensure alignment, and maintain long-term mechanical stability.

The geometry of the module is shaped to support natural portafilter movement during operation. Engagement with the rotor and brush remains smooth and unobstructed, allowing the user to clean the portafilter without repositioning or awkward angles. Internal pathways and surface transitions are designed so that coffee grounds fall freely into the collection container without retention or clogging.

Power is supplied via a USB-C connection, enabling flexible integration into modern espresso setups. The standardized connector supports efficient power delivery and simplifies cable management on the coffee bar.

Manufactured using additive manufacturing, the enclosure and internal components benefit from precise control over form, tolerances, and material distribution. This approach enables a well-integrated motor suspension and transmission system, ensuring efficient power transfer from motor to rotor and brush while maintaining smooth operation.

As part of the complete BrewTech puck cleaning system, the Dual Motor Module provides the mechanical foundation for a controlled, clean, and repeatable workflow, supporting efficient puck removal and residue cleaning without interrupting the espresso routine.
